Maharshi Ved Vyas
Maharshi Ved Vyas was the writer of Mahabharat and Geeta.
His mother's name was Satyavati, adopted daughter of the fisherman and father's name was Parashara , He was one of the brother of Bhishm Pitamah. He was also father of Pandu, Dhritarashtra and Vidur.
He wrote the all 4 veda after that he known as Maharshi Ved Vyas.
Mahabharat was written by #Ganesh after requested by Maharshi Ved Vyas.
Because he can write very fast. But ganesh ji had put one condition that he will site but without any interruption continuously if if ved vyas would stop he will stopped to write. At that time the pen was broken due to heat and friction then Ganesh ji broken one of his tooth and write remaining Mahabharat.
Due to this Ganesh ji body got hot and it is said that that's why we immerse the statue of ganesh ji.

On his name Guru Purnima is celbrated.His four deciple names are Paila, Vaisampayana, Jaimini and
Sumantu to whom he teaches rigved , sam ved , yajurved and athrved respectively.
Some part of india he also known as Krishna dwaipayana.
